Service Description
We hope you will kick off this holiday season with us and spend the day "riding through Rockford" during one of our Christmas Train events on Saturday, November 12 or Sunday, November 13. Children, and their adult(s), will meet upstairs at The Corner Bar (at their scheduled time) where they will hear a reading of "The Polar Express" by The Local Basket Case and paint their own train ornament with Accidental Art. We are so excited to have the Christmas Train ride again this year! After they hear the story and paint their ornament, children can take a ride on Rockford’s Christmas Train. Then you can spend the afternoon walking around downtown Rockford and collecting punches on your train ticket from participating businesses. At each business, you will be collecting items/treats for your goodie bag. Participants who receive punches from all participating businesses can turn in their ticket to be entered into raffles for a variety of prizes. This event is ticketed in order to provide the best experience for all those participating. Tickets will cost $25 per child and only need to be purchased for children participating in the event. The ticket provides your child a spot at the book reading, ornament painting, a ride on the train (a spot for one accompanying adult), and a goodie bag. We have 6 sessions to choose from: Saturday November 12 - 9:00, 10:30, & 12:00 Sunday November 13 - 10:00, 11:30, & 1:00 Thank you to The Local Basket Case, Accidental Art, The Rockford Chamber of Commerce, and other participating Rockford businesses for making this event possible!
