We hope you will kick off this holiday season with us and spend the day riding through Rockford during our Annual Christmas Train event on Saturday, November 11 or Sunday, November 12.
Children, and their adult(s), will meet upstairs at The Corner Bar where they will hear a reading of "The Polar Express" by The Local Basket Case and paint their own train coaster with Accidental Art You will leave this coaster with Accidental Art for glazing and firing and pick it up at their studio in Rockford later in November. We are so excited to have the Christmas Train ride again this year! After children hear the story and paint their coaster, they can take a ride on Rockford’s Christmas Train. Then you can spend the afternoon walking around downtown Rockford and collecting punches on your train ticket from participating businesses. At each business, you will be collecting items/treats for your goodie bag. Participants who receive punches from all participating businesses can turn in their ticket to be entered into a raffle for a variety of prizes.
This event is ticketed in order to provide the best experience for all those participating. Tickets will cost $30 per child and only need to be purchased for children participating in the event. The ticket provides your child a spot at the book reading, coaster painting, a ride on the train (a spot for one accompanying adult), and a goodie bag.
